12 Mai - Paris - Brest by Tanguy Viel (2009, 189p)

Paris-Brest is Tanguy Viel's fifth novel, and the first one that deals with family issues. The novel starts with the narrator's grandmother's funeral.Louis then brings up his own issues with his family. Viel's novel has been praised by French critics.

Come and learn more about Tanguy Viel's cinematographic references on May 30 at Cornerhouse (more information below).

Next book club:
16 June: L'écume des jours (Boris Vian, 1947, 315p)

Open to everybody - a good intermediate level of French is recommended.
